Over 400 domesticated rats that were found living inside a condemned Rocky Point home have been caught and treated.

Strong Island Animal Rescue says over 60 of them have been adopted and the group expects that number to grow.

As News 12 reported, police say they found hundreds of rodents living in unsanitary conditions earlier this month.

Police also found the homeowner, Lori Curley's 3-year-old grandson, walking in rat feces.

Curley is facing charges for animal cruelty and child endangerment.
