Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump isn't backing down from his comments on illegal immigrants.
Trump has given repeated interviews about his view against undocumented people in the U.S., including comments he made about Mexican immigrants as criminals.
His opinions have caused other presidential candidates to speak up. Sen. Lindsey Graham, also vying for the Republican nomination, said in part, "The first rule of politics, when you're in a hole, is to stop digging....and somebody needs to take the shovel out of Donald Trump's hands."
Jeb Bush, another Republican candidate whose wife is from Mexico, has also sharply criticized Trump for his comments.
Meanwhile, Democratic hopefuls are seizing the opportunity to use his words against other Republican candidates. Hillary Clinton said, "They are all in the same general area on immigration. They don't want to provide a path to citizenship."
The Republican Party as a whole seems worried about backlash. A source says the chairman of the Republican National Committee called Trump to express concerns about his tone when talking about undocumented workers.
