Storms made their way through Brooklyn Friday evening, taking down trees in its wake.
A downed tree in Bay Ridge damaged a car, front porch and windows of nearby homes on 76th Street.
News 12 spoke with Danny Calacanis, who says he heard the tree fall from inside his house.
"I heard a crack and I saw the branch move and I was like 'Oh my God'. And then it fell onto the houses and then hit the car and fell back," said Calacanis.
News 12 spoke with the owner of the car who did not want to speak on camera but says she wasn't inside the car at the time the tree came down.
New York City Emergency Management says it's at least one of 22 reported downed trees throughout Brooklyn.
Calacanis says like many others tonight, he's just happy it wasn't worse.
“I’m pretty lucky I got stuck at the red light because if I got home a minute earlier, I would have parked right there. You know, I could have been in the car and like, our car could have gotten hit, too. And I could've gotten hit," said Calacanis.
Other neighbors, like Leslie Wolf, say when storms roll through in this neighborhood, scenes like this are unfortunately nothing new.
“So we've lived here for about 20 years and over the last five, 10 years, a number of storms have come by and have taken out a number of the trees on the block And, you know, you would hope that most of the trees that are sort of the most likely to be damaged by the storms would have been already taken out, but apparently not," said Wolf.
It appears no one was injured in the incident. News 12 reached out to the FDNY for more information, but has not yet heard back.
