The "Future Plaza," the first project of Downtown Brooklyn Partnership's Sustainable Series, was a big hit with borough residents this summer.
The garden is located at the corner of Gold Street and Flatbush Avenue.
Ryan Grew, of the partnership, says the garden project has been aimed at educating the community about sustainable agriculture.
The vertical green wall, fabricated from bookshelves of a high school, is now home to more than 750 vegetables and continues to grow rapidly.
The next project of the Sustainability Series will focus on solar energy. Officials say they will be installing an LED light project at Albee Square for the holiday season.
