A driver jumped the curb of a shopping plaza in Canarsie and crashed into a vacant restaurant Monday.

The crash occurred around 1030 a.m. at George's Pizza on Skidmore Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle sustained some serious injuries and was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

Witnesses say that the shop has been closed for several years.

Although the structure sustained some damage, no one was inside the structure during the crash.
