Bronx drivers are feeling the pain at the pump as gas prices continue to rise in New York City and nationwide.
The Bronx is currently seeing an average of about $3.07 a gallon. An Exxon station off of East Tremont and Castle Hill avenues was pumping out regular gas at $3.03 a gallon late Monday afternoon. Some stations on major parkways had prices set at nearly $4 a gallon.
The average for New York state is about $2.95 a gallon.
Residents say they're frustrated with the increasing prices, especially as Memorial Day and summer are approaching.
One year ago, average gas prices were around $2.62 a gallon in the city. It was at $2.85 a month ago.
