Temperatures are close to seasonal and the weather is relatively quiet for a few days.
Rain chances slightly increase for the weekend, with low chances for Saturday and chances for Sunday into Monday. Thursday overnight and Friday are dry with some clouds.
While coastal flood risk is improving, there is still a chance for some very minor coastal flooding along vulnerable areas on the waterfront in Nassau County. Routinely problematic areas could see up to a half foot of minor and brief coastal flooding.
Temperatures are mostly staying where they are, in those mid- to upper 70s. Normal high for this time of September is around 76 degrees, which we are slightly above or below for much of the next week.
Weekend weather could include some raindrops, but it doesn't look like you need to cancel your outdoor plans. Saturday will be largely dry, with sunshine and clouds for the majority of the day. Any rain that would creep up would work its way later on in the day, into the evening, and potentially the overnight. Rain would be spotty showers at best.
For Sunday, there's enough moisture and just slightly enough lift to potentially see some very light showers during the later portions of the day and into the night as well. Sunday overall is looking drier than it did earlier in the week. Low rain chances continue into early parts of next week, but there isn't anything especially noteworthy at this time.
We are in a relatively mellow and quiet pattern, but will continue to monitor.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows in the high 50s and low 60s.
FRIDAY: Nice overall! Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the upper 50s.
SATURDAY: Sun and clouds with late evening rain chances. Highs in the low 70s, lows in the low 60s.
SUNDAY: Clouds and sun with late-day rain possible. Highs in the upper 70s, lows in the low 60s.
MONDAY: Early rain chances, mostly cloudy. Highs in the low 70s, lows in the high 50s.
