The discussion surrounding the Eric Garner case continues in Brooklyn, where artists are putting their works on display, all inspired by what they call injustice.
The opening reception for the "Respond" exhibit has held Saturday night at the Smack Mellon art gallery in DUMBO.
Organizers received more than 600 submissions for the exhibit, and narrowed the pieces down to 201 to be shown in the gallery. The pieces including everything from paintings and collages to videos.
Hundreds of observers attended the exhibit's opening, which organizers say was spurred not just by desire, but also necessity.
