This weekend marks the annual DUMBO Arts Festival, which kicked off Friday evening.
The festival is celebrating its 18th anniversary. It's a three-day event that typically attracts over 200,000 visitors, and features a wide variety of art, music, galleries and more.
The best work of over 400 local, national and international artists can be seen at the festival, which highlights Brooklyn's commitment to the art community.
Last year's event featured classic art galleries and unique floating displays created by children from around the city.
This year's festival promises to feature indoor and outdoor visual exhibitions, digital art, sculptures, wall murals and large-scale projections.
Organizer Lisa Kim says she hopes that all who attend the festival will leave with a broader perspective of art.
The festival is free and will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. all weekend long.
