Early voting kicked off Saturday for the 60th Assembly District special election, but voters won’t see a familiar name on the ballot this time around.

For the first time in two decades, the 60th Assembly District, along with the overlapping City Council District, will no longer be represented by Charles Barron or his wife, Inez Barron.

This year, the ballot includes Republican candidate Marvin J. King, Democrat Nikki Lucas and Keron Alleyne, who is running as a candidate for working families.

The 60th Assembly District represents East New York and Starrett City in Brooklyn. There is also a special election for the 72nd Assembly District beginning today, which covers parts of Manhattan and the Marble Hill neighborhood in the Bronx.

Polls will remain open until 3 p.m. today. Early voting runs through Feb. 13, then election day will be held on Feb. 15.
