Early voting begins Saturday on Long Island

A record nearly 50 million people have already cast their ballots in the 2020 presidential election, more than 35% of total voters in 2016.
On Long Island, early voting begins on Saturday and continues through Sunday, Nov. 1.
In Nassau, voters can visit any of their 15 early voting sites. At those sites, there will also be bins for absentee ballot drop-offs. But if you're there to vote in-person, you're checked in via iPad.
Suffolk has 12 early voting locations.
The hours on different days vary, so be sure to check your polling place before you head out.
News 12 took a tour of the Nassau Board of Elections, where the voting machines and high-speed scanners for handling absentee ballots were on display. It counted about 23 test ballots in 10 seconds.
