A church that lost everything in a fire last year is giving back to the community.
Byways and Hedges Youth Ministry in East Flatbush was destroyed in a fire in August 2014 by an alleged arsonist.
Reverend Terry Lee says the community and charity group New York Cares, rallied to help the church when it went up in flames, and now the church can finally return the favor during their coat and toy drive.
"After the fire on Utica Avenue we lost about everything, but knowing that we are here this year giving back to the community is a great joy," said Reverend Lee.
The church will also be having a special Christmas service on Sunday if you want to join in on their holiday fun.
