Eastern Parkway was shut down for cars for the last day of Summer Streets.
Summer Streets is a program from the city's Department of Transportation to give people a chance to enjoy the open area for walking, running, and bike-riding.
This marks the first time the program has been done on Eastern Parkway since the program's inception in 2009.
"We want to continue expanding," said DOT commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. "It started with a few miles, now what we're seeing in 2023 is Summer Streets expanding."
