A disagreement is brewing over whether police or education officials? numbers are more accurate when it comes to reporting crime in Brooklyn schools.

Some NYPD officials complain that staff members? numbers are not reliable because they are giving minor incidents more weight than necessary. However, the United Federation of Teachers president says educators report crime that is disruptive to the teaching process.
