Police say a deli on Marcus Garvey Avenue in Bed-Stuy was robbed Sunday around 8:15 a.m.

The NYPD says four men walked into the store and pulled out a gun before knocking three men, ages 48, 40 and 68, to the ground. Sources close to the investigation say the men knocked to the ground were employees.

A deli employee tells News 12 that the men came in dressed as and impersonating police. The employee wanted to remain anonymous but says he’s shocked.

“They said they’re NYPD. They said they’re a cop, then throw the guy on the floor. I’ve lived here a long time, never happened before,” he said.

Police say the four men took off with unknown items from the store and fled in a dark-colored van.

People in the area tell News 12 the street often has police presence so it wouldn’t be uncommon to see them walk in the deli.

Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
