Hundreds of health care workers at Victory Memorial Hospital in Bay Ridge are at risk of losing their insurance and benefits.
Local union 1199 held an informational picket Thursday in front of the hospital. The union claims the hospital is more than $3.4 million in debt for failing to pay insurance payments for employees. Workers are concerned that the hospital is moving to settle the debt, accumulated over a year, by cutting their benefits and pensions.
Officials at the hospital have not yet responded to News 12 Brooklyn?s request for comment.
