Young men from around the borough came together Saturday for a conference to learn from successful mentors in the community.
The conference, called "Answering the Call," was held at Borough Hall and was hosted by local elected officials and several nonprofit groups.
The goal was to inspire young men of color to work hard and create meaningful lives for themselves. Several successful men from the community came to speak to the youths and any their questions.
It marked the first-ever "Answering the Call" event, and organizers say they hope to make it an annual tradition.
