A festival run by women for women took place Saturday in Industry City.

The first ever ENVSN Festival offered up vegan makeup, advice on the perfect ponytail and a yoga studio.

The event was put together by Sharifa Murdock whose day job is organizing events to showcase new fashion.

Six months ago, Murdock says she came up with the ENVSN Festival as a way to connect dozens of companies led by women together.

"I see families here, I see women here, I see girls connecting, I see young girls having fun with each other and it's exactly what I wanted," Murdock says.
