Former Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano has been ordered to report to prison after his bail motion was denied by the U.S. Court of Appeals.
According to the Circuit Court, Mangano must immediately surrender to federal prison in Devens, Massachusetts, for his prison sentence of 12 years.
The ruling comes after Mangano requested to remain free on bail while appealing his conviction.
His wife, Linda Mangano, began her 15-month jail sentence on Friday after her bid was also denied.
The Manganos were found guilty of accepting bribes from an Oyster Bay businessman and lying to the FBI to cover it up.
If Ed Mangano cannot get to Massachusetts to surrender by the end of Tuesday, he must be there on Wednesday.
