An excavator fell through the floor of a construction site in Downtown Brooklyn Tuesday, according to officials.

Citizen app video captured the incident at 245 Duffield St.

Officials from the Department of Buildings confirmed the site had a permit to demolish a two-story building.

Inspectors say the machine fell through the first floor and landed in the cellar level below.

No one was injured.

DOB officials say no workers were on site during the inspection. They say the site was locked. They have been informed that first responders arrived early Tuesday afternoon and left with workers who were on site when the incident happened.

It's not clear what caused the incident.
