News 12 got an exclusive look inside 1 Willoughby Square in Downtown Brooklyn. It is Brooklyn's tallest office building, and JEMB Realty says it's the first new office building the borough has seen in a generation.

At 35 stories high, the building is around 60% leased. Currently, it is home to companies in the architectural, health care and consulting spaces. Those include Gemic, FXCollaborative and Big Spaceship. It's also home to a nonprofit called Ms. Foundation for Women.

Many of the businesses were previously located in Manhattan and decided to move over the bridge to Brooklyn to be a part of the growth.

"We need more interesting places for people to work so smaller businesses, tech firms, design firms, really can be attracted to working in Downtown Brooklyn," said Regina Myer, the president of Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.

The building opened its doors in 2021.
