EXCLUSIVE: Survivor of acid attack shares her road to recovery with News 12

Juanita Jimenez, a 22-year-old recent graduate from Lehman College says she has been thriving ever since her attack in December 2022.

She tells News 12 she was on her way to work her night shift when Rodlin Gravesande threw acid on her face.

Almost two years later, she says justice was finally served, and Gravesande will be behind bars for more than a decade.

On Monday, Jimenez graduated with her bachelor’s from Lehman College, in biology, chemistry, and anthropology.

She says she plans on applying to medical school in a year to become a surgeon.
