Facebook to pay out $90M for improperly obtained and collected data from users

United States who visited non-Facebook websites that displayed the Facebook
“like” button.
"Preliminary
approval" has been given for a $90 million class action settlement over Facebook's
like button, according to the U.S. District Court for the
Northern District of California.
The
suit is about Facebook tracking what you're doing online,
even when you're not on Facebook, even if you are not signed
into your account, on websites that showed Facebook's like button.
The
court says this happened between 2010 and 2011.
It
hasn't been announced yet how much money people will be getting.
