Better way to start your morning than with us. And at a diner in Brooklyn and while East Williamsburg, you're in luck. We're on your block all morning right now, Julia Joseph, she is at JK and Sons. So Julia, do you have a friend there? You're having breakfast with? Yes, I am. I did find a friend. Finally, this is Robert. And if you guys were tuning in last hour, you would know that Angelo says Robert comes here every single morning at 610, which has proven to be true. What was on your plate before you clearly finished it this morning? I actually had the scrambled eggs with pancakes, my coffee and a glass of water. And you said that's your combo for last, how many years? Like 15 years? 15 years, the same breakfast combo. Yesterday you said you switched it up to a croissant and eggs. All right. And what about JKS Sons makes you want to come back every morning, the food and the atmosphere, Kate, an amazing person. And Angelo, I love it so much. And you really do have this supreme morning routine. Yes, in the morning, Jim, after gym, breakfast, breakfast straight to work. Nothing better guys. Williams. Are you hungry? Because we're falling back with you this morning on 12 featuring the best of the block on your block. That is right. So to kick off the morning, we have our Julia Joseph. She's that JK. And so it's a classic Brooklyn diner. Julia. Good morning to you for assignment. So much fun guys. Good morning. Now we're here at JK and Sons. As you said, I'm with Angelo. He puts the sun in the name JK and Son. This menu is huge. Honestly, very overwhelming. What is like the go to order here because I really don't know what to get. Ok. We have a breakfast platters that a lot of people order every day has eggs, either bacon ham or sausage. We have turkey options to beef, comes with home fries, grits or French fries or hash browns. Sounds like everything you need in the morning, right? And you said you guys have been here for over 40 years now. The neighborhood's changed quite a bit, but what hasn't changed is your customers, right? You said you have the same customers that come in every morning at 630. What's their go to order? Our, go to orders the pancakes and the egg scrambled. I have another customer who has omelets in the morning, every day with coffee. Uh, we have a lot of people coming in the morning to pick up the sandwiches too and, uh, coffee or juice or you know, everything you need. Right? And you said the Greek culture here and your family runs strong. We're gonna see all of that right back here at 630. We're gonna have a breakfast feast that we're gonna delve into. So guys stick with it.

Thursday. We're on your block this morning in East Williamsburg. And what better way to start your day than at a diner? That's right. So you, Julia Joseph is getting her breakfast fix today at JK. And so, and Julia, what's on the menu? I see you have something good on your plate there. Well, guys, I'm actually gonna have Kate uh answer that question for you, Kate. What is this beautiful piece of French toast? We have, this is the fourth of July French toast with fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries and bananas. You got it, guys. All the colors. Now K is the K and JK and Sons. And you started this business a long time ago with your husband. Tell us about it. Um We started 40 four years ago. Me and my husband and my son and we love to serve people and we have a fresh food, clean and very tasty. And we have a good hospitality with a friendship with everybody. I I can second that the hospitality this morning, the food, it's all been top notch. But one more thing here you gotta answer. There's so many diners in Brooklyn. One here. Why come here because they love the food and the hospital. Absolutely. Well, thank you so much K into the JK and so for this awesome, awesome start to our morning. Morning. Yeah. If you'd like to start your morning with more adventure breakfast, flair. This one is for you. Julia Joseph joins us now from Winds Bakery on Graham Avenue with the owners of this popular spot, Julia. What you got? Yes. Good morning guys. I'm here with Trigg and Josh and we are going. All right, let's see if I get it here. The scallion pancake, bacon, egg and cheese and mochi donuts. Did I get it? Right. Yes. Yes. Yes. All right. Those are their specialties here. So Josh start us off by telling me just about this awesome collaboration. This, this friendship has created here at Win on. Yeah. So, uh it's really a marriage of our friendship and our relationship kind of hanging out eating together. Um Drake's background is uh in uh cheffing ten's and uh in restaurants. And uh and so when we, when we met and hung out, uh we really bonded over Taiwanese cuisine. That's great. I love it. And so you said the specialty here, the scallion pancake, bacon, egg and cheese. Just a real quick wrap up. What is that? So, it's just our version of a New York City bacon, egg and cheese, you know, respect to the bodega, bacon egg and cheese. That's the goat. But this is our version on a scallion pancake uh kind of an illusion to Taiwanese uh pancakes and eggs in the morning. Um So uh yeah, that's what we have but it also goes with the mochi doughnut, which is Danielle Spencer's like famous Millet Mochi Pastry that Josh can tell you about amazing guys.
