Groups of amateur singers and dancers gathered at Harlem's Apollo Theater Wednesday to demonstrate how the late Michael Jackson influenced their lives and dreams.
Apollo box office attendants say tickets for the amateur night sold out more than four hours before show time. Many contestants say they have practiced their moonwalks and robots to honor Jackson and his famed dance moves.
Jackson is said to have gotten his start performing with his brothers at an Apollo amateur night in 1967.
