Rapper and Bronx native Fat Joe and a star-studded list of guests took over WBLS and Hot 97 with a telethon to raise money for the families impacted by the Twin Parks tragedy.
Fat Joe said the goal is to find a way to help families impacted not just now, but months down the line.
"When the cameras are off and the news media goes on to the next story, these families are going to be still displaced and need help," said Hot 97 host TT Torrez.
"We just want those people to know that they've been through some terrible things, devastating things, tragic things, but there's people out here that's fighting for you from your community, from your tribe, from your village that's really out here still trying to do the right thing by you," Fat Joe said.
The rapper said he's already raised $1 million through his network for victims.
