Three firefighters were injured while putting out a three-alarm fire in Sheepshead Bay. All three firefighters are expected to survive.
About 130 FDNY members responded to the call for a fire at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. They say the fire started inside Chopstix Chinese Restaurant in the basement and then spread next door to an Army recruit center.
The FDNY held a press conference just before 10 p.m. FDNY Assistant Chief Kevin Brennan said that several sections of the roof of the building were removed during the process of putting the fire out.
Fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.
