Hundreds of firefighters were on the scene battling flames in a fire in Borough Park on Tuesday night, according to the FDNY.
FDNY officials held a press conference in Borough Park, saying the fire spread quickly. They say it started in a catering hall and made its way next door to a commercial building. No injuries were reported.
Officials say the fire started just past 7 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found a fire on the first and second floor of the catering hall.
Both buildings involved suffered serious damage as a result of the flames, but are not at the risk of collapse.
D train services have resumed in the area after being suspended for hours as firefighters battled the flames.
