The FDNY says at least seven people were hurt in a fire that tore through an apartment building in East Flatbush Wednesday morning.
Many of the tenants quickly found themselves trapped inside the building on East 93rd Street near the corner of Avenue A when fire alarms rang.
News 12 spoke to Manise Day, a resident of the building, who had no choice but to climb down the fire escape with her baby to get out.
The Rev. Terry Lee lives next door and says he and his neighbors immediately jumped into action to save the others.
Firefighters were seen pulling the charred batteries off an e-bike that was parked outside
The fire marshal's office is still looking into the cause of the fire.
