The FDNY fought flames at a home in Midwood on Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials say the fire was reported at around 2:15 p.m. at 1424 E Second St. between Avenue N and Avenue M. The 2 and ½ story building required over 100 responders to put out.
Nearby residents tell News 12 that the smell of smoke was evident around the neighborhood and say that the home has been vacant.
The fire was put out just after 4:15 p.m. At this hour, no injuries have been reported from the fire.
The Red Cross says that they registered seven adults for assistance following the blaze.
Fire marshals are investigating what could have caused the fire.
