Prospect Park Zoo to reopen for first time since September
5h agoA car slammed into an apartment building in Flatbush Monday morning.
Firefighters say the incident took place at 500 Ocean Ave. around 8:17 a.m. What used to be a staircase leading up to an apartment on the first floor of the building is now debris scattered across the ground. A fence was also damaged.
A witness told News 12 he was standing outside when he saw the driver jump the curb and the car speed up before crashing. Another witness claims the SUV also hit another car in the process.
The female driver has since been taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries. There is no word on her condition.
It's unclear what led up to the crash.
