FDNY extinguishes apartment fire in Park Slope South
Over 60 firefighters and 12 units responded to the scene with EMS in tow to provide aid.

A fire broke out in a Park Slope South apartment Saturday morning, leaving many residents fearing for their safety.
It happened at 1409 Albemarle Road between Marlborough and Rugby roads.
According to the FDNY, a call of a fire came in just before noon. Over 60 firefighters and 12 units responded to the scene with EMS in tow to provide aid. Residents of the six-story building told News 12 that they were forced to temporarily vacate their apartments as windows on the fourth floor of the building were blown out.
"There's like, holes punched out in the unit above and to the side, a lot of water draining down through the other units below," says Joey Camire a resident.
The FDNY said no one was injured, and the fire was put out around 12:32 pm. The cause of the fire is unclear at this time.
