An electrical fire at the Ditmas Avenue subway station in Borough Park was brought under control around 4:15 p.m., the FDNY says.

It was first reported around 12:05 p.m. Witnesses say the fire broke out on the tracks and was raining down on the cars below. They said it was quite a hectic scene.

“I’ve never seen anything like it – like a fire rain,” said witness Dwayne, who works at a nearby warehouse.

The FDNY says the fire was in the electrical room at the station. No injuries were reported.

The fire caused major delays along the F line during rush hour.
