The FDNY is working to suppress a fire that broke out in Kensington on Friday afternoon.
The call for the fire came in just before 5:45 p.m.
Fire officials say that the fire at the three-story building started on the first floor in the rear of the building. They say the fire spread to a neighboring building that has suffered a partial roof collapse.
The FDNY says one person has suffered an injury and is in critical condition at this time.
A total of 33 units and over 130 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene. The New York City Office of Emergency Management is responding to the fire in Brooklyn that has been upgraded by the FDNY to a fourth alarm.
The Red Cross responded to the fire and offered recovery assistance to all residents present at the scene. They say that all residents have been able to self-relocate.
