Fire officials say a home caught fire in Sheepshead Bay this morning, and a lithium-ion battery is being blamed.
Officials say the home on Ford Street between the Belt Parkway and Emmons Avenue went up in flames around 9 a.m.
Fire officials say an overcharged lithium-ion battery exploded and was the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
