The FDNY responded to a fire at an apartment building in West Farms on Thursday.
Fire officials say the fire started in a fourth-floor apartment just before 2:30 p.m. in a building on Mohegan Avenue. Fifty-five firefighters responded, and no injuries were reported from the fire. Officials say the fire did not spread to other apartments in the building.
Firefighters at the scene told News 12 that a dog was saved from the flames in the building, but that the owners were not seen and that no one was in the home when the fire broke out.
Officials have not determined the cause of the fire.
