A home explosion led to a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn Friday morning.
The explosion happened at Benson Avenue and Bay 35th Street around 7:11 a.m. More than 100 FDNY firefighters reported to the scene as smoke billowed from the top of the home Friday.
No one was inside the home at the time of the explosion.  It completely crumbled to the ground following the explosion.
The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
The Department of Buildings conducted structural stability inspections. Two families, with a total of six people, who lived in the two buildings neighboring the one that collapsed are being tended to by the Red Cross.
DOB says full vacate orders were issued to the two collapsed buildings at 65 and 69 Bay 35th Street, both of which are slated for demolition.
In the interest of public safety, owners have been ordered to install a fence around the properties, according to DOB.
No injuries have been reported.
According to the deputy chief of the FDNY, the two buildings will need to be demolished due to structural damage occurring as a result of the explosion.
Gas and electric will be turned off on the block so authorities can safely continue their investigation. They will also be searching through the rubble for any unknown survivors.
