A Friday morning fire resulted in the death of a 9-year-old girl.
The FDNY responded to a large three-alarm fire at 759 Howard Ave. at 5:30 a.m. The fire extended from the second floor to the third floor.
Officials confirmed Payton Thompson, 9, was found dead on the top floor.
It's unclear how many people were in the building
There is no word on how the fire started.
