Residents celebrated the third annual Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner at Greenpoint Fish and Lobster Company Sunday.
The Italian-American feast traditionally commemorates the wait for the midnight birth of Jesus, but is now enjoyed by anyone looking to celebrate the season.
The Greenpoint FIsh and Lobster Company also doubles as a store, selling seafood to those cooking their feast at home.
THe owners tell News 12 that in the last two days, they have gone through 100 pounds of fish, more than 100 lobsters and almost 1,000 clams.
The restaurant's chef says that just getting to be a part of those traditions for their customers makes it all worth it.
