WHAT'S NEW -- Heat advisory coming Thursday.
WHAT'S NEXT – Temperatures will continue to rise heading into Wednesday but after that, it'll feel rather uncomfortably humid for Thursday and Friday and a Heat Advisory is up for Long Island starting THU at 11 am through FRI at 8 pm. Temps will be feeling into the 90s to low 100s for both of those afternoons. A weak cold front approaches Friday afternoon, trying to bring some relief.
News 12 Storm Watch Team meteorologist Addison Green says a heat advisory is up for Thursday and Friday as temperatures continue to climb.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and a touch sticky. Lows: upper 60 to low 70s.
WEDNESDAY: Lots of sunshine and starting to feel muggy. Highs: mid 80s to low 90s. Lows: low 70s.
THURSDAY: *HEAT ALERT* Mostly sunny, hot and humid! A heat advisory is in effect starting at 11 AM. Highs: upper 80s to low 90s. Feels Like Temps: mid 90s to low 100s. Lows: low 70s.
FRIDAY: *HEAT ALERT* Heat advisory still in effect until 8 PM. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon to evening thunderstorms. It will be hot and humid again! Highs: upper 80s to low 90s. Feels Like Temps: mid to upper 90s. Lows: mid 70s.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with scattered, pop-up storms. Still rather muggy. Highs: mid 80s. Feeling into the mid to upper 80s. Lows: low 70s.
SUNDAY: Mixed of sun and clouds with warm temps. Highs: mid to upper 80s. With a little less humidity.
