Brooklyn Bridge Park is getting even greener as its final pier is being converted into parkland.
Funding for the $26 million project is included in Mayor Bill de Blasio's 2017 fiscal year budget.
A decade ago, portions of the 85-acre park were an industrial wasteland. It has been transformed over the years, and now welcomes 330,000 visitors on a weekly basis.
When Pier 3 is finished in spring of 2018, the park will be nearly completed.
