FDNY officials say four people have been hospitalized after a 2-alarm fire in Fordham.
Fire crews say the fire started on the second floor of a six-story apartment building on Ryer Avenue just after midnight on Sunday.
Tenant Jaire Blackwell told News 12 he is happy nobody was killed.
“We’re not worried about the materialistic things,” said Blackwell. “We all have our life. That’s pretty much it.”
News 12 has reached out to the Dept. of Buildings to see if there are any violations regarding fire safety.
