will resume on Sunday after an agreement was reached between the Village of
Ocean Beach and the Fire Island Ferry.
The agreement on a contract between the village and the
ferry was announced by Dave Anderson, the general manager of the Fire Island
Ferry.
Details surrounding the length or terms of the contract were
not immediately available.
The suspension of services began on March 8 after the two
sides couldn't reach a rental agreement involving the docks and ferry terminal.
