Rachel Freier has been inaugurated as the first Hasidic Jewish woman to become a civil court judge in Brooklyn.
Freier was elected the position in the 5th District of Borough Park back in November after a hard-fought campaign.
She founded the Ezras Nashim, an EMT company in Brooklyn, where she still volunteers as a first responder.
The mother of six was sworn in Thursday night.
