Police in Brooklyn are searching Friday for five men they say posed as cops and pulled off a brazen home invasion.
Police say the men stormed into a home on Eldert Lane around 6 p.m. Thursday, identifying themselves as police. They then asked where the drugs and money were stashed. Police say a man, two women and a baby were home. According to police, the family was tied up and the man was pistol-whipped. Luckily, the baby was asleep in a crib at the time and was unharmed.
Neighbors say they didn't notice anything unusual at the time of the incident. They also say they are surprised by what happened because the neighborhood is generally safe and quiet.
Police say the men made off with cash, jewelry and a camera. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
