Health advocates are urging people to get have themselves checked for National HIV Testing Day Tuesday.
Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV. About one in seven of them don't know they're infected.
Bridging Access to Care in Flatbush conducted free, confidential testing to mark the day.
The group also hired a DJ, gave out condoms and offered other incentives to motivate people to have themselves checked.
