Fleischmann Pier and Charles Point Park in Peekskill will be receiving upgrades starting at the end of August.

Construction to upgrade both areas will begin on Aug. 29 and should be finished by fall 2023.

Builders will be constructing a new pier to accommodate large tour boats, sightseeing, fishing and crabbing. Two smaller docks for transient boats and a kayak launch will also be included.

The park improvements will include an expanded parking lot, an accessible pathway to the pier and a restroom.
