Staff at Footprints Cafe in Flatbush say the eatery has thrived during the pandemic because of loyal customers.
On Thursday, the restaurant that has served the community for 20 years, celebrated its roadside seating service.
Diners were treated to music while they enjoyed the restaurant's signature dish, Rasta Pasta.
Footprints Cafe owner Robert Gordon credits strong take-out clientele for keeping the restaurant open during the pandemic.
"To get the roadside seating, and we previously held a sidewalk cafe license, so with a combination of both, we were able to get very close to full staff and to get all the employees working again and so on," Gordon said.
Currently, there are three Footprint Cafe locations with plans to open a fourth in Bed-Stuy.
