Longtime News 12 anchor Carol Silva revealed Monday night that she is once again battling cancer.
She said during a speech at Racine Cancer Care’s Annual Gala in Woodbury that spots have been detected on her ribs and lung.
Silva was first diagnosed in 2019 and had more than 50 weeks of treatment to combat a tumor in her lung and 12 tumors in her brain.
She met that challenge head-on with positivity and says this fight won’t be any different.
“Watch comedy, smile even if you don’t mean it,” Silva said. “And remember, it’s not, ‘I can’t believe I have to do this; I get to do this.’”
