Members of the Fort Greene community gathered Tuesday to pay tribute to the art curator killed while walking on the sidewalk.
Victoria Nicodemus was killed earlier this month when a driver lost control and struck her on the sidewalk near Fulton Street and South Portland Avenue. Police say the driver didn't have a license.
The community honored her with a special painting installation.
Advocates and family members are now calling for stricter penalties for reckless driving.
